Tonight is the third edition of the Regional Song Contest. After successful editions in Utrecht and Maastricht, the musical festival will travel to Arnhem this year.
The Roo brothers are participating in the Regional Song Contest on behalf of Drenthe. The duo owes this to their win at the first Songfestival Drenthe, Pop in ‘t plat. Their winning number, Olde Jettathey will also perform again in Arnhem.
The brothers’ success song is inspired by an old car. “It is an old childhood memory from 25 years ago. We went on holiday to Terschelling in an old Volkswagen Jetta. It was one of the most beautiful holidays of our youth.”
The brothers will compete for the title tonight together with candidates from other provinces. This time in Arnhem, because Gelderland won last year.
