Amsterdammer Tijmen Snel finished fifth in the 1,500 meters at the National Championships distances in Heerenveen. The gold goes to Kjeld Nuis. The stage is further completed by Tim Prins and Joep Wennemars.
Due to his fifth place in the 1,500 meters, Snel will be present at the first four World Cup competitions in Salt Lake City, Calgary, Heerenveen and Hamar.
