Beşiktaş, one of the Istanbul representatives of the Trendyol Super League, published a remarkable statement regarding the betting scandal. In line with the statement made by the black-and-white club, it was announced that Beşiktaş applied to the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office to intervene in the investigation.

HERE IS THAT EXPLANATION

‘Our club has applied today to intervene in the investigation initiated by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office after the President of the Turkish Football Federation, İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu, announced that 371 referees had betting accounts and 152 of them were actively betting.

A notification was made to the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office with a request to expand the investigation into whether all matches played by our Football A Team in the last five seasons were illegally bet on by referees or other suspects, whether there was a criminal act that caused damage to our club or loss of rights, and the chief prosecutor’s office was informed that our club is ready to provide all kinds of support within the scope of the investigation.

We respectfully present it to the public.’
