In her new song, the singer turns a (disgusting) guy into a house slave.
Ikkimel continues to shake up the music scene. The rapper from Berlin-Tempelhof (born Melina Gaby Strauß) fires out one new song after the next at breathtaking speed. After “Get to the meatballs” (with PA69) a week ago, “Mami” was released on Friday (October 31st), produced by the rap duo The Cratez.

However, this is not an ode to Ikkimel’s mother – rather, the 28-year-old lets herself be called that by a guy who has been reduced to a house slave.
As usual, her label’s statement says open-heartedly: “With her new single, Ikkimel once again provides a clear reminder that she is the “MAMI”. Queen Ikki turns every mischievous person into a submissive house slave who obediently sticks to the cleaning schedule and does the weekly shopping so that mother and her Tempelhofer Bratzen can devote themselves entirely to snotting, shopping and getting naked. Because nobody here is hotter, more beautiful or smarter than the cunt from 42. So you better stay where you are.”
There’s little to add to that, except that last year the brat of the hour collected 4.5 stars at MUSIKEXPRESS for her debut album FOTZE. ME author Rebecca Spilker said: “Pussy talk with a degree: hyperpop hip hop dancing on the clubbing volcano.”
In “Mami,” the studied linguist once again brushes sexist language against the grain with feminist irony.
Writers would like to write my songs, but that’s not the case
They’d like to be little cunts, but it’s me (Ah)
Suddenly everyone wants to be like this bitch
It’s about time I pissed in a guy’s face again
XS and an ego like a Chihuahua (Uh)
Who is hotter? Who is more beautiful? Who is smarter? (Ugh)
I’m only with Queens because I never needed a guy
Let them die for me, as if they were a few farmers
Pair of pawns, that’s not a chess game
Ouch, ouch, man, I love this power play
All I’m interested in is spitting, shopping, going crazy
I’m about to have a visitor, so clean up now, you rag (Okay) (Hey)
One text and he jumps like a bunny (Uh) (Hey)
My sex is definitely not stanni
The little HS looks pretty tough
Unloads the dishwasher and then he calls me mommy (Uh) (Hey)
One text and he jumps like a bunny (Uh) (Hey)
My sex is definitely not stanni (Mh-hm)
Little HS buys me everything I need
He does my shopping and I do my money
First clean the toilet and also mop the floor
You change my bed linen and hang it up too
Mommy’s busy, darling, take out the trash
The fridge is empty again, so fill it up
Fuck, I like playboys because I’m one myself
Yes, I like games and I’m the main prize
God sent me as the eleventh plague
Since then I’ve only fucked my nose in protest
Yallah, give him, I’ll get everything I want
Keep the cam on my cheeks because my life is a movie
I want to unpack, shake my ass
With my Tempelhofer Bratzen, so stay where you are
Couple of brats, that’s not a chess game
Ouch, ouch, man, I love this power play
All I’m interested in is spitting, shopping, going crazy
I’m about to have a visitor, so clean up now, you rag (Okay) (Hey)
One text and he jumps like a bunny (Uh) (Hey)

Analysis “Mami”: What does Ikkimel want to tell us?
“Mommy”, actually a term that simultaneously describes female care in an appreciative and mocking way, is radically reversed by Ikkimel. Yes, whoever is called “Mommy” has to perform services. But they look different than “Daddy”. “Daddy”, there is also a sexualized component to the porn language that the singer uses so casually. The provider is also a provider here. The singer lets her house slaves call her that because she reverses the balance of power. “Who’s hotter? Who’s prettier? Who’s smarter? I’m only with Queens because I never needed a guy,” she sings. It’s clear who takes out the trash here: definitely not “Mommy.” The “rag” grabs the rag. Ikkimel makes it clear that she can be a mother figure without the clichés of motherhood (“I’m into playboys because I’m one myself”). And that sometimes it’s not just about fucking, but about washing up and cleaning the toilet.
