…YES AWESOME, you want to scream. From the first song on Skorts’ debut INCOMPLETEMENT, you can imagine what it was like when the world heard Fleetwood Mac for the first time. Even if Skorts have little to do with Fleetwood Mac and their lightness, due to the fantastic vocals of lead singer Alli Walls, in terms of atmosphere they seem like their dark revenants.

And above all: like a band that isn’t afraid to play stadium rock sometimes. And yes, that can also veer towards cliche (“R4DR4M”). But that doesn’t matter if it’s implemented so stylishly. In the almost two years of their young existence, the band from New York has earned a reputation for working hard and playing a lot of shows.
And just as you could listen to their predecessors The Strokes perfecting their sound in endless hours in the rehearsal room, you can listen to Skorts’ countless shows on the smallest, small and ever larger stages. Such immediacy, excess and attitude can only be born live. It’s all the more impressive that they can also transport this energy onto the album.
