At the press conference for the Japan Mobility Show 2025, open to the public from October 31st to November 9th, the Japanese car manufacturer unveiled the Vision X-Coupé and the Vision X-Compact

Mazda has revealed two new concept cars for the near future. Al Japan Mobility Show Of Tokyothe Japanese company has in fact presented the Vision X-Coupe and the Vision X-Compact. For both of Mazda’s new cars, the “X” must be pronounced as “cross.” As a preview, Mazda also presented the new one to the public Cx-5 with European specifications, a model that has sold over 4.5 million units in more than 100 countries.

The new Mazda Vision X-Coupé

One of the two concept cars unveiled by Mazda in Tokyo is thus the Vision X-Coupé, that is, one sports coupe which, as far as design is concerned, presents a new evolution of the “Kodo – Soul of Motion” style, which in fact means “giving shape to something”. This is a model plug-in hybridwhere a turbocharged rotary engine is combined with an electric drive and a battery. The overall power is 510 HP for the Vision 800km when it also works with the combustion engine. 5,050 mm long, 1,995 mm wide and 1,480 mm high, this concept car from Mazda has a wheelbase of 3,080 mm.

Longer than 6einside it has an instrument panel with an old-style layout, with dials and needles, but modern in construction, with an infotainment screen that extends from the center of the dashboard towards the passenger area. Furthermore, when zero-emission fuel derived from microalgae is combined with the Japanese company’s CO2 capture technology “Mazda Mobile Carbon Capture“, this car helps reduce emissions into the atmosphere the more it is used.

The new Mazda Vision X-Compact

The other concept presented by Mazda in Tokyo is the Vision X-Compact, a car where people can increasingly connect with the vehicle itself. In fact, a human sensorial digital model was integrated with aartificial intelligence empathic, a system with which the car can hold natural conversations and suggest destinations to the driver. 3,825 mm long, 1,795 mm wide and 1,470 mm high, this new concept car from the Japanese company has a wheelbase of 2,515 mm. From the design it recalls the Mazda2but from the dimensions it could very well be the new one E-car of the Japanese company. The interior, on the other hand, is minimalist with a flat-bottomed steering wheel and a circular digital instrument panel. There is no real screen for infotainment, with the role being entrusted to the driver’s smartphone connected to the dashboard.
