Dramatic comedy, recently presented at the New York Film Festival, is the third feature film directed by Bradley Cooper. The film follows the story of Alex (Will Arnett), a father of two who, after an amicable divorce from his wife Tess (Laura Dern), launches himself into the world of cabaret and stand-up comedy in New York.
Inspired by the life of British comedian John Bishopthe film explores themes of personal growth, identity and the challenges of post-married life, with a tone that mixes humor and introspection. Cooper plays the (secondary) role of the protagonist’s best friend. The movie will be released in American theaters next December (at the moment an Italian distribution has not been announced).
