Israel “resumes ceasefire” in Gaza after night of retaliation that leaves at least 100 dead

At least 100 people were killed in Israeli airstrikes on the south of the Gaza Strip on Tuesday night, including many women and children. The Israeli military said the attacks were “strong attacks” on Hamas targets, in retaliation for an anti-tank missile attack on Israeli forces near Rafah. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu gave the order after a security meeting, according to Israeli media.
