British actress Prunella Scales has died at the age of 94.
The Scales family confirms the news, for example for the BBC. Scales died peacefully at his home in London on Monday, according to his family.
Scales has become famous Pitkän Juss inn from the series. Scales played Sybil Fawlty, the wife of the main character, hotel manager Basil Fawlty, in the series.
The series was made in the 1970s for only 12 episodes, but it has survived to this day as one of the most loved British series.
In addition to the series, Scales has also played numerous other roles in films and TV series.
In 1992, Scales received a Bafta nomination for best actress in a television drama A Question of Attribution, which aired as part of the BBC Screen Oneseries.
The actor was diagnosed with vascular dementia in 2013.
Scales’ husband, actor Timothy West, died in November 2024.
