Since this morning, many trains have been canceled due to problems on the track. First there was a crash with an emergency vehicle near Halfweg. As a result, there have been no trains running between Haarlem and Amsterdam all day.
Now there has been a signal failure at Naarden-Bussum. Therefore, no trains run between Weesp and that station, which means that the connecting routes also run into problems.
Several train passengers at Amsterdam Central have returned home after waiting for a while on the platform. “I have to go to work in Hilversum, but the train didn’t go,” one of them told NH.
“Then he finally came, but it turned out not to go further than Weesp. So I just left,” says the traveler.
Amsterdam to Haarlem
There are also no trains running between Amsterdam and Haarlem until at least the end of the afternoon. The problems on the track there started around 12 noon and lasted until about 5 p.m.
