Unusual disagreement on Sky between the two commentators and former Juventus and Inter champions, who returned to Maradona’s result, analyzing the Nerazzurri’s role in the championship

The Italian derby is a match that lasts all year and which was also staged in the Sky studios. The protagonists are two great captains such as Alessandro Del Piero and Beppe Bergomi, both commentators who, while commenting on the results of the 8th matchday of Serie A, had an argument over the role of the Nerazzurri in the current championship. It all started with a phrase from Del Piero: “I’m sorry Beppe, but Inter have clearly been the strongest team for four years. Then, given that they haven’t always won, we can say that they’re not the best, because the best are those who finish at the front.” Bergomi’s reply was clear: “So why doesn’t he win a direct match? The results prove me right.” And then, turning to his former colleague: “It’s not that if you raise your voice and shout, your thoughts have more value than mine. Respect what I say too.” Then Del Piero again: “He made 2 Champions League finals in 3 years. Inter’s players are clearly stronger than Napoli, Milan and Juve”. Bergomi then asked Del Piero what the other teams have less than the Nerazzurri and the former Juventus player, turning to host Caressa, ironically commented: “Okay, come on, let’s send the images of the penalty which is better…”. A few minutes of frost with attempts to tone things down by the other guests of the show, then in the end smiles prevail and the tension melts away.
