“Of course, this leads to a difficult situation in Pokrovsk and all neighboring regions,” Zelensky continued. “There are fierce fights in the city, on the access roads to the city.” Supply is also difficult. Only a few hours earlier, the Ukrainian General Staff had admitted that Russian soldiers had entered the city, which had been heavily fought over and largely destroyed for months. The approximately 200 Russian soldiers leaked between the Ukrainian defense lines and established themselves in the city.
