Bissig returns to the World Cup
Of course, Switzerland is entering the race as one of the nations that has the best chance of placing on the podium today. Marco Odermatt, the dominator of last season, starts the race with start number three. And Thomas Tumler and Loic Meillard were also really strong in the giant slalom. This is how Austria starts
The race will be opened by Stefan Brennsteiner. He was the best Austrian giant slalom rider last season. But the other drivers are also always up for good results. Marco Schwarz will start his race with start number eight, Patrick Feurstein and Raphael Haaser will follow in positions 15 and 16. In the middle of the start list we find Manuel Feller and Vincent Kriechmayr (30 and 31) as well as Lukas Feurstein with 39. The Austrian finisher is Joshua Sturm. Feller is experiencing something like a resignation from resignation, as he himself said. At the end of last season he announced that he no longer wanted to compete in the giant slalom. Alex Schmid with a comeback
The DSV is there with six starters. Anton Grammel will be the first to start the race with start number 19. Shortly afterwards, Alexander Schmid (23) made a comeback. He tore his cruciate ligament for the second time ten months ago and was still left with no chance of starting today. Everything went well, but he wanted to see in the short term whether he felt fit and ready, Schmid explained in advance. With Fabian Gratz, Jonas Stockinger (27 and 28) and Linus Straßer (60), we can look forward to more familiar faces before Hannes Amman starts his World Cup debut.
