Tennis star Caroline Wozniacki father, former soccer player Piotr Wozniacki told the Polish Sportowefakty-website in an interview about his life in Monaco.

Piotr Wozniacki moved to Denmark to play in 1985 and ended his career there three years later due to injury. The family stayed in Denmark, and so Caroline Wozniacki was born in the country and represents Denmark.

Polish Piotr Wozniacki has lived in Monaco for the past 20 years. Father Wozniacki praises Monaco’s security, but one thing is bothering him.

– Russian-speaking residents walk their dogs, but most of them don’t bother to pick up their pets’ poop. I think that’s really rude. The city cleans the streets daily, but this is still a visible problem. I have already spoken to other residents, and we are trying to get the police to issue a fine of 500 euros for such behavior. I think it’s really embarrassing, Wozniacki said.

Monaco is praised as safe, but living is not exactly cheap. PDO

According to Wozniacki’s assessment, since the start of the war, a lot of Russians, but also Ukrainians, have arrived in Monaco.

– Ukrainians are mostly women. Of course, Russians have no chance to get permanent resident status, but if they can afford to rent an apartment, no one can stop them.

According to Wozniack, things are not exactly cheap in Monaco.

– We currently live on rent and pay quite a lot, about 10,000 euros per month for an apartment of about 100 square meters. However, I know that there are apartments in our area that can cost up to 200,000 euros per month.

According to Wozniack, tennis players have good training conditions in Monaco and athletes feel safe in Monaco after their careers.

– People walk down the street with a million dollar watch and expensive bags and feel completely at ease.
