The world market price of cocoa has fallen sharply in recent months, but the price of chocolate in the supermarket is not falling along with it. According to organic chocolate maker Rodney Nikkels, it will remain that way. “Chocolate has been too cheap for years,” he says. “It is now becoming more of a luxury product. That’s not bad, it was just priced too low.”
