According to Deputy Bart Naeyaert (CD&V), responsible for Integrated Water Policy, cooperation across the sectors is crucial. “Improving water quality will only work if we join forces across sectors. With Belgapom and Vegebe as partners, we bring the processing industry to the table, not as a spectator, but as an active partner in sustainable solutions,” says Naeyaert.
Research center Inagro investigates applicable measures and will convert the guidance of farmers into concrete measures. “By working together with all partners in the chain, we achieve scale and impact faster,” says director Mia Demeulemeester. “The intention is to spread knowledge and to be even more active in providing guidance from, for, by and with our farmers.”
