Should it become easier to tackle problem wolves? What does the future of regional hospitals look like? And what will it take to get the Netherlands out of the nitrogen lock?
Four eligible Drenthe politicians will debate these and other questions this afternoon between 12 noon and 1 p.m. in the Drenthe Election Debate on Radio Drenthe.
The four politicians participating all have extensive experience in politics. For example, D66 member Wieke Paulusma from Odoorn has been in the House of Representatives since 2021 and is in 7th place on the candidate list. Julian Bushoff from Roderwolde also already represents his party in The Hague. He is a Member of Parliament for GroenLinks/PvdA and can now be found in position 11.
Jeroen Hartsuiker from Klazienaveen entered the House of Representatives on behalf of the VVD this summer and can be found at position 39 on the list. The fourth participant, Henk Jumelet from Erica, has yet to make the move to The Hague. He was a deputy in Drenthe for many years, and before that an alderman in Emmen for eleven years, and is now in 9th place for the CDA.
The participants discuss topics that are not only relevant nationally, but are also felt in Drenthe. The future of healthcare, agriculture, the nuisance of the wolf, the nitrogen problem and the housing shortage are discussed, among other things.
The debate is led by Cassatapresenter Margriet Benak and can be heard live in the program from 12 noon Cassata on Radio Drenthe. On Wednesday, October 29, the Netherlands will go to the polls for the House of Representatives elections.
