Former Thai Queen Mother Sirikit Kitiyakara died on Friday evening at the age of 93. The Thai palace reports this. She was the wife of King Bhumibol Adulyadej, who ruled Thailand for seventy years, and was sometimes called the ‘Jacky Kennedy of Asia’. She is the mother of the current Thai king Maha Vajiralongkorn.
