Today, the doctor and the undersigned visit a 93-year-old lady who will soon be euthanized. She is physically disabled, but very charming, bright and crystal clear. She, her son and we sit with the agendas in front of us and ask her when she wants the euthanasia to take place. There is a moment of silence, she turns uncomfortably in her chair, looks at us a little shyly and then says: “You may think it’s strange, but I really don’t want to lose my vote, can I please do it after the 29th? Then I can still vote…”
