Juan Bernat, currently without a club, is aiming for a prompt comeback. The 32-year-old left-back with Bundesliga experience has recently been struggling with physical problems, but seems ready to play again. With a market value of 1.5 million euros, the Spaniard is one of the most valuable football professionals without a commitment following the end of his contract with Getafe FC.
“After suffering from groin pain throughout last season, I had to undergo surgery at the end of the season for the second time in two years. Since then, I have had months of intensive rehabilitation and preparation, and for three weeks I can say that I am fully recovered and that I can’t wait to get back on the pitch,” Bernat wrote on his Instagram channel.
The veteran was German champion four times with FC Bayern between 2015 and 2018, and he won just as many times with Paris Saint-Germain in the French Ligue 1. 18 club titles are listed on his CV. Bernat was also on the pitch most often for PSG (128 times), and he had the second most appearances for Munich (113).
After two loans to Benfica (2023/24) and Villarreal (2024/25), the left-footer moved to Getafe permanently and on a free transfer at the beginning of February 2025, for whom he played 15 times. Last summer they parted ways again. In 2015 and 2019, Bernat recorded the highest valuation of his career with a market value of 20 million euros.
