Man (51) died in front of his girlfriend after a cafe brawl in the center of Avelgem: “No blood to be seen, I thought he had become unwell”

A 51-year-old man from Otegem (Zwevegem) died at café Local in the center of Avelgem in West Flanders on the night of Thursday to Friday. The circumstances are considered suspicious and investigated by the public prosecutor’s office. According to the first information, a cafe quarrel occurred, during which the man – who was present with his girlfriend – suffered an unfortunate fall. Two people have been arrested for questioning.
