The French sporting goods retailer Decathlon is continuing its expansion in Germany. On Friday he opened a new branch in the Breuningerland Ludwigsburg shopping center.

The Decathlon store relies on “the proven multi-sport store concept, which delights visitors with a wide range of products and spacious test areas,” the shopping center operators announced on Thursday.

To mark the reopening, the sporting goods retailer is organizing a diverse supporting program and a social run. “The announcement that Decathlon was coming to our center caused great anticipation,” explained Oliver Heuchert, the center manager of Breuningerland Ludwigsburg, in a statement. “We are all the more pleased that the opening is now imminent and will offer a varied experience around the topic of sport.”

According to its own information, Breuningerland Ludwigsburg has over 120 stores covering an area of 57,000 square meters. It is operated by the international real estate company Sonae Sierra, which recently took over the Real Estate Management (REM) division of Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield.
