The video of Nancy Pazos on a plane went viral after the version circulated on social networks and in the LAM program that the journalist had tried to go from economy class to first class. The images, recorded by another passenger, were disseminated with an ironic tone and comments about the driver’s attitude quickly multiplied.

However, it was Pazos herself who came out to clarify the situation and deny the published version. Through his X account (formerly Twitter), he responded to a message from tweeter Diego Álzaga Unzué (@atlanticsurff), one of the users who had commented on the video. “Lie. I only asked if my boyfriend, who is 1.96 tall, could move – as he did – to the emergency seat. The request was reciprocated. And I traveled in my tourist seat and he in the emergency seat. Thank you for being so interested in my life. But do journalism,” the journalist wrote, quoting Álzaga Unzué himself at the end of her message.

The defense sought to put an end to the speculation that had fueled television and entertainment portals. LAM had shown the video and debated it, but Pazos’ clarification changed the tone of the conversation on networks: several users highlighted his direct response and his criticism of the way the topic had been treated.

This is not the first time that Nancy Pazos has faced rumors or headlines that question her conduct. On this occasion, his reply sought to expose what he considers an excess of exposure about his private life and one more example of how an everyday scene can be amplified until it becomes a viral scandal.
