Cwe are. I am Rosa Ricci, prequel to the series Sea outside, is about to arrive in cinemas (from October 30th). The fans, before going to the cinemas, flocked to the Auditorium Parco della Musica, where Lyda Patitucci’s film with Maria Esposito was premiered at the Rome Film Festival.
The public will meet Rosa Ricci before entering the Juvenile Institute of Naplesprisoner of a drug trafficker who wants to get his hands on the business of Don Salvatore, Rosa’s father. To blackmail him, Agustin Torres and his henchmen kidnap the fifteen-year-old and take her to a remote island.

Rosa (Maria Esposito) is a fifteen-year-old who lives under the wing father’s protector camorra Salvatore (Raiz). His brother Ciro is serving a sentence in the Institute for Juveniles in Naples. The South American drug trafficker Agustin wants to take over the Ricci clan and with a trick he deceives Salvatore and kidnaps his daughter. The ransom is 20 million euros.
Rosa is taken to a remote island from which it is impossible to escape. Keeping an eye on her are the young jailers Gabriel (Juan Daniel Straube) and Victor (Andrea Arcangeli), while Don Salvatore does everything he can to recover the astronomical sum. Rosa looks for an escape route, studies a method to escape from that place surrounded by the sea.

Gabriel is violent with the girl; Victor, on the other hand, forms a relationship of trust with her. They seem like two lonely souls who compensate each other, who could join forces to seek an escape from that place and from a life that crushes them. “Both were torn from their adolescence,” says Arcangeli. The romantic streak tempers the violent spirit of the film«very different compared to Sea outside», assures the producer Roberto Sessa. Will fans like it?

The success of the series overwhelmed Maria Esposito like many of the actors of Sea outside. «There are moments in which I manage to live this situation well, and others in which I feel stressed – explains the actress -.
