The local police of Ostend received a report on Tuesday around 12.30 pm about a violent incident at Cardijnplein. A passerby had seen a seriously injured man stagger out of an apartment building. The emergency services immediately rushed to the scene. The victim was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. According to the public prosecutor’s office, his condition is still critical.
Appointment
Initial findings showed that the twenties had an appointment at an apartment. However, there he allegedly became the victim of serious violence. After the incident, the perpetrators fled.
The Bruges department of the West Flanders public prosecutor’s office sent the lab to the scene to carry out trace research.
