During an interview on the “Lipps Service” podcast, the 27-year-old musician listed the ideal line-up for his “dream supergroup” and named some of the most influential names in music history.

Yungblud’s star cast: The crème de la crème of rock music

As lead guitarist, Yungblud would choose Johnny Marr from The Smiths – because of his melodic playing style. AC/DC’s Malcolm Young will be on rhythm guitar “because he’s such an underrated rhythm guitarist,” as Yungblud explained. The bass would be handled by Mani from The Stone Roses and Primal Scream; In Yungblud’s eyes, he has “this funk that is underestimated”. John Bonham from Led Zeppelin would be on the drums – the musician leaves no doubt about that: “He and Keith Moon are my favorites,” he added.

On vocals, Yungblud would share the job with none other than Fleetwood Mac’s Stevie Nicks and David Bowie because “it would just be totally fucking crazy.” Rock star Adam Wakeman from Black Sabbath would be brought in for keyboards. The two have appeared on stage together several times – most prominently at the last Black Sabbath concert in July of this year, shortly before the death of frontman Ozzy Osbourne. Wakeman inspires a feeling of security in Yungblud, as he says: “Especially in the last few weeks when we had these huge performances. I just love him.”

Yungblud: From outsider to rock star

Yungblud, whose real name is Dominic Harrison, was born in Doncaster, England in 1997 and has established himself as an alternative rock musician. His debut album 21ST CENTURY LIABILITY was released in 2018. Since then he has released three more studio albums: WEIRD! (2020), YUNGBLUD (2022) and IDOLS (2025).

In interviews, he regularly emphasizes that he sees himself not only as a musician, but above all as a link between people. His goal is to use art to create a community in which everyone feels seen, understood and loved – free from social constraints, as he explained to the “Allgemeine Zeitung”. Yungblud represents the youthful feeling of being misunderstood, included and excluded.

In recent years, the 28-year-old has developed from a young rebel to an established rock star – something that hasn’t gone unnoticed by the old masters of the genre. Mick Jagger once said that Yungblud was one of those artists who kept rock music alive.
