Madrid, 21 Oct. (askanews) – The artist and producer winner of 2 Grammy Awards and 11 Latin Grammy Awards, Rosalìa is about to return with her innovative fourth studio album, “Lux” (Columbia Records), out on November 7th and available for pre-order.
The album, recorded with the London Symphonic Orchestra conducted by Danìel Bjarnason, includes contributions from female voices such as Bj rk, Carminho, Estrella Morente, Silvia Pérez Cruz, and the Escolania de Montserrat iCor Cambra Palau de la M sica Catalana, Yahritza and Yves Tumor.
On Monday night, Rosalìa announced the album with a spectacular takeover of Madrid’s Gran Vìa, turning off all the lights in the area and plunging the city into darkness, before turning everything back on displaying the album’s artwork. It was all livestreamed for fans around the world.
This spectacular moment left fans speechless, showing them a prelude to what the project will be and perfectly representing the themes of the album, such as female mystique, transformation and spirituality.
As executive producer of “Lux”, with this album Rosalìa traces an emotional path that crosses the feminine mystique, between transformation and transcendence, and oscillates between the intimacy and grandeur of an opera, creating a world made of light, where sound, language and culture blend into one.
The CD and vinyl versions of “Lux” contain 3 exclusive tracks: an invitation to listen to the album in its most immersive form.
