Filip (57) ends up in hospital during a dream trip to Thailand: “Airline lost my hand luggage with vital medication”

What was supposed to be a relaxing trip to Thailand turned completely wrong for Filip Van Kerckvoorde (57) from Waarschoot (Lievegem) in East Flanders. His hand luggage – containing his vital medication – was lost after he had to hand it in at the gate with Brussels Airlines. Filip eventually ended up in hospital due to the lack of medication. “I had a fever of 40 degrees and became unconscious,” the fifty-year-old says from his hospital bed. How could things have gone so wrong?
