A farmer got the fright of his life on Thursday evening while plowing his field on the Hoofdweg when found a body.
The body was ‘completely broken’, a police spokesperson said. Fingerprints were missing. Due to the condition of the body and ‘the ravages of time’ it was very difficult to determine whether it was a man or a woman. How the body could get to such a bad state is still unclear.
It has now been determined that it is a man. Foul play has been ruled out, but the investigation is ongoing and is expected to last months.
Police are also investigating whether the man may have fallen from the landing gear of a plane. The field is located directly under one of the flight paths to Schiphol.
