Fifteenth day full of direct clashes: eighth victory in a row for the Venetians, Arezzo on the run and at Massimino the coup that reopens Group C

October 19, 2025 (changed at 11.41pm) – MILAN

A super Sunday with 15 matches and clashes at the top in all three groups. Here are the main ideas, waiting for the Monday postponements of group B (Carpi-Ascoli and Pontedera-Vis Pesaro).

GROUP A

Vicenza is a moving train: against AlbinoLeffe comes the eighth consecutive victory – Vitale is best on the pitch, Rauti and Stuckler again on the scoreboard – which strengthens the primacy of Fabio Gallo’s team, now seven points ahead of its closest pursuers. In fact, in the big match of the day, Brescia beat Lecco with Spagnoli’s lead and reached them in second place at 21. Pro Patria also got their first victory, signed by Udoh on the pitch of a Virtus Verona team that was unlucky in hitting three crossbars.

group b

With a show of strength, Bucchi’s Arezzo took the three points in the clash at the top of Ravenna and isolated themselves at the top: a deserved success, even if the 3-0 (with Tavernelli, Ravasio and Varela scoring after time expired) was perhaps a bit of a severe punishment for the Romagna team who nevertheless emerged to the applause of a sold-out Benelli. At the foot of the podium remains Ternana, who pass with merit to Campobasso thanks to Stefano Pettinari’s first goal in Serie C (who spent almost all of his long career in Serie B, with two previous spells in Terni). Fresh from two defeats, Juventus Next Gen passes with authority to Rimini (assist and goal for Vacca). Perugia’s crisis is endless: against an excellent Pineto they suffered their seventh defeat in a row which led to the resignation of Piero Braglia (he had previously also left Rimini, but never sat on the bench).

group c

With arrogance, Catania fully entered the fight for supremacy by overcoming Salernitana in front of almost 19 thousand of Massimino: a match split before the interval by a splendid free kick from the specialist Cicerelli (one of the former players), a second goal from Forte in a second half led by Mimmo Toscano’s team. Catania now one point from the top, shared by Salernitana itself and Benevento (who will go to Catania next time): at Vigorito, fifth home win in a row for Auteri’s team who conceded a goal in each half to Potenza (double assist by Ceresoli for headers by Salvemini and Pierozzi). Against Trapani, the second victory in a row arrives for Atalanta U23 (ten guests from the end of the first half for Benedetti’s red card, violent conduct). Cavese saves the game by handing the third defeat in a row to former Maiuri’s Cerignola (in full crisis): first goal in Serie C for Gerardo Fusco, son of Luca, former captain of Salernitana. Bad debut for Valerio Bertotto at the helm of Picerno, beaten 3-0 by a rediscovered Altamura.
