Typhoon hits the Philippines: thousands of people flee to evacuation centers
Typhoon Fengshen, locally called Ramil, made landfall in the Philippines early on Saturday. Local authorities have urged residents of flood-prone and coastal communities to prepare to evacuate, while fishermen and small vessels are advised to stay ashore due to rough seas.
