Max Verstappen took full advantage of the early retirement of McLaren drivers Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris during the sprint race in Austin. The reigning world champion won at the Circuit of the Americas, gaining eight points. The gap with World Cup leader Piastri is still 55 points.
