Miles Svilarthe Giallorossi goalkeeper, spoke to Dazn on the eve of the match against Inter. Here are his words.
What emotions are you experiencing?“Very great emotions, it’s incredible to be a dad, it’s a beautiful moment.”
How do you manage moments of euphoria?“I like to isolate myself, I think a footballer must be very balanced.”
The best and worst moments. “The best was when I became a starter for Roma against Feyenoord. The worst are the years in which I played less. It’s very difficult to find the right motivation to train when you’re not playing. You have to be very disciplined.”
How do you prepare outside Trigoria?“I do a lot of breathing work, I have a mental coach, visual training has helped me a lot in recent years. It consists of trying to see things before they happen. Mental training is as fundamental as physical training.”
On his connection with the Romanist square: “The affection of the fans was decisive for the renewal, it makes me feel at home, and I must feel at home to perform at my best. When I go out I’m happy that the fans recognize your qualities, what you give on the pitch, your soul. This makes Rome a special square. For me the most beautiful thing are the chants and banners that the fans dedicated to me”.
On Inter: “We don’t have to fear anyone, because we are a very strong team, we can compete with everyone. Inter have been one of the strongest teams in the championship for many years, there are many teams fighting for the top five, six places”.
On the ranking: “It’s nice to be there but it’s still early, we can talk about it from January when the season finale will take place.”
On Gasperini: “When I played twice in Bergamo, I had the feeling that it would be difficult. He is transmitting a strong winning mentality, he is a fantastic coach“.
On teammates Dovbyk and Ferguson: “I think they are two attackers with different characteristics, but with many qualities. Ferguson will unblock himself soon, let’s hope they score many goals, it would mean that the team is doing very well”.
On Soulè: “Soulé is very strong. He’s a golden boy who works very well. I’m very pleased that what I saw on the first day in training is coming out in the matches. He has grown a lot in recent months“.

On the relationship with his father, Ratko Svilar: “We always compare notes, it’s nice to have a dad who supports you. My goalkeeper son? I’d rather not, but he’ll choose”.
About tattoos: “I made the last one 5 years ago. Maybe I’ll do one for my son. There’s also something about Rome in there.”
