At halftime, Düsseldorf’s fans whistled at the Fortuna players. Fortuna was two goals behind: Düsseldorf’s goalkeeper Florian Kastenmeier didn’t look good when Conteh hit from a tight angle. Kastenmeier had no chance when Marie scored.

Joker Rasmussen wakes up Düsseldorf
Düsseldorf got better after the restart – and that was also due to a joker: Christian Rasmussen, 22, was brought in by the club from Ajax Amsterdam in the summer. Rasmussen has sometimes hinted at his ability, but has not yet shown it consistently. This may be why he initially only sat on the bench in the new coach’s first game.
After coming on as a substitute, the Dane showed that he can definitely make the difference in the 2nd Bundesliga.
