Jokerit breaks Mesti’s audience record.

The Jokerit of Helsinki told the hard news on Friday morning. Next week’s Friday match of the team playing in Mestis, the second highest league level in Finnish men’s ice hockey, in Veikkaus-arena will be sold out or almost sold out.
According to the jokers, the match is already “booked to the end”. Individual tickets can still be released when the reservation is exhausted. In addition, not all vip tickets are gone yet.
On October 24, Jokerit will meet Joensuu’s Kiekko-Pojat in the multipurpose arena in Ilmala, Helsinki.
Ticket sales for the match started on Monday, meaning that the Veikkaus arena was sold out in less than a week.

The Veikkaus arena can accommodate more than 13,000 spectators. Mesti’s audience record is 8,200. The previous record is also held by the Jokers.
Before Jokerit joined Mestis, the series attendance record of 5,212 was from the final match between Kiekko-Espoo and Imatra Ketterä from spring 2023.
The Jokerit will play a total of nine regular season matches at the Veikkaus Arena this season.
