The Chechen leader received the rank of Major General of the Russian Guard in July 2020. In addition, he was awarded the highest award of the country – the title of Hero of the Russian Federation, as well as the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, III degree, the Order of Courage, the Order of Honor and other awards.
At the end of 2020, Kadyrov became the richest Russian governor: he earned almost 381.19 million rubles. Over the previous two years, the income of the head of Chechnya increased 50 times: for example, in 2018 he declared 7.5 million rubles, and in 2019 – 148 million rubles.

Since the beginning of the military special operation, Kadyrov has repeatedly published videos of Chechen fighters in Ukraine. On March 13, as ChGTRK Grozny reported, the head of the republic himself arrived “in the special operation zone”, but a few days later posted a video from Grozny.
Now Kadyrov is in Mariupol, where, as he himself said, “there is very little time left before the complete liberation from the Bandera underground.” According to Chechnya’s minister for national policy, foreign relations, press and information, Akhmed Dudayev, the head of the republic arrived there to “raise the morale of the guys.”
