In a new chapter of her program El Bulo de Viviana, her cycle of opinion and political analysis that is broadcast on Carnaval Stream, Viviana Canosa launched a harsh accusation against Diego Santilli, former vice head of the Buenos Aires Government during the administration of Horacio Rodríguez Larreta and current LLA candidate. In her editorial, the journalist targeted the current national deputy for an alleged act of corruption linked to the placement of an advertising billboard in one of the most emblematic corners of Buenos Aires, in the middle of the final stretch towards the 2025 legislative elections.

“Do you remember the sign on 9 de Julio and Corrientes of a very important soda brand? Do you know how much Santilli got to put it up when he was part of the City Government? Eight green sticks,” Canosa launched, pointing out that the then official would have manipulated the value of the advertising contract to keep a million-dollar commission.

According to Canosa’s story, Santilli would have acted independently of Rodríguez Larreta to obtain personal financial benefit, using his position in the Buenos Aires Executive to manipulate the value of the advertising contract and keep a portion of the money. The proposal suggests an internal maneuver and a possible fracture in the political relationship that both maintained for years.

The complaint comes in the middle of the campaign, with Santilli heading, along with Karen Reichardt, the Buenos Aires PRO list after the loss of José Luis Espert. This electoral context gives greater impact to the words of Canosa, who has historically maintained a critical stance towards both La Libertad Avanza and PRO leaders.

However, the editorial did not present documents or evidence to support the accusation, a common mark of Canosa’s style, which privileges impact and confrontation over evidence. Santilli’s entourage categorically denied the statements, ensuring that there are no records of irregularities in the management of advertising permits during his time in the Buenos Aires government.

The episode adds to an increasingly charged political climate, where media complaints are mixed with the electoral dispute. Canosa consolidates her role as a habitual provocateur on the political scene, while the accusation against Santilli remains, for now, in the realm of controversy without verifiable support.
