TOngelina Mango he surprised everyone by publishing as a surprise his new album, titled Carame, available from today on all digital platforms. It is a project that collects 16 songs, all written and produced by the artist, in which he recounts the last year of his life, between personal and collective emotions.

For Angelina Mango Carame represents a spontaneous and authentic work, as the title itself suggests, which aims to evoke «the decoration of a cake with which friends surprise you (evoked by the cover image ed) or the beginning of a personal letter.” The album opens with the song of the same name, which serves as an intimate introduction, and develops into a series of tracks that explore themes such as authenticity, love, family and human imperfections.
Angelina Mango collaborated with the producer Giovanni Pallotti and, at various times, with her brother Filippo, with close friends and with artists such as Madame, Calcutta and Dardust. The album’s artwork consists of real slides of the artist’s life in the last year, capturing moments of study, composition and daily affections, transformed into a visual and audio diary.
A year and a half after the last album
A year and a half after the previous one Poké Melodrama (released May 31, 2024), this album stands out for its artisanal approach and without excessive filters. «I wrote fifteen songs plus one», explained Angelina Mango, tracks that tell an authentic life starting from Carame, incipit of a letter that turns into a journey of sincerity. Continued 7upwhere the singer-songwriter claims the right to authenticity in a society obsessed with perfection: “I’m not a star/not even by mistake/I’m a freshman for life”.

In Shoes untied music becomes catharsis by telling the melancholy of a finished story, while Fragile package emphasizes the desire to be human and imperfect and Ieio features Madame’s participation in an internal dialogue produced by Mr. Monkey, born from an intense creative session.
Familiar moments emerge in Life must be taken by bitesborn from the fraternal understanding with Philip, and in Like a child, dedicated to parents. Friendly love instead inspires Mylovewritten while observing the best friend, while Nina sings is an experimental interlude that reflects on the lessons she has learned during the year. Veil over the eyes it then acts as the album’s “manifesto”, speaking about the loss of childhood innocence and the desire to embrace imperfections and “do a thousand stupid things that I haven’t done yet”.
Closes the circle We missed the endsimple farewell to a vanished love, followed by Everything in the air with the difficulties of the transition to adulthood. Hand grenade explores fragility in the face of disappointed expectations, and Aiaiai was born from the collaboration with Calcutta and Dardust, revealing the naked essence of the artist. Igloos instead it evokes the Northern Lights seen by his brother in Iceland, and the album ends with Sosososososo (which Angelina did not write and did not sing): it is a birthday dedication from her friend Elena (aka Henna).
In addition to the official video of Veil over the eyesthe artist created stop motion clips and personal illustrations for igloos, untied shoes and fragile packages, emphasizing the DIY spirit of the project.
