The clothing supplier Marc O’Polo SE has opened new showrooms for the shoes category at its headquarters in Stephanskirchen and Hamburg. The aim is to “offer trading partners a modern, emotional and functional brand experience,” the company explained on Thursday.

Jan Brinkmann, Director Shoes at Marc O’Polo, explained the move. “With the new showrooms, we are strengthening Marc O’Polo Shoes as an independent area within our portfolio,” he explained in a statement. “Our goal is to underline the relevance of our collections even more clearly and to offer our partners an inspiring platform for orders, exchange and brand presentation.”

In Stephanskirchen, the company now presents its shoe collections on an area of around 120 square meters; in Hamburg there is around 150 square meters available. Both showrooms therefore rely on “an atmosphere that mediates between functionality and emotionality” and, in addition to areas for presenting the products, also offer “multifunctional zones for advice, digital ordering processes and hospitality”.

The design follows Marc O’Polo’s current “Studio 2.0” furnishing concept. Both new openings took place as part of “a large-scale refurbishment and expansion program with which Marc O’Polo is converting his showrooms across Europe to the new concept”. The premises in Düsseldorf, Zurich, Salzburg and Munich have already been modernized accordingly.

“Our showrooms are no longer just order rooms – they are communication rooms in which brands, products and partnerships come together in a new way,” explained Brinkmann. “With the additional showrooms for shoes, we are creating the basis for sustainably developing this growing segment.”
