HSV captain before reunion: “A special day”

Yussuf Poulsen played for RB Leipzig for twelve years before moving to Hamburger SV in the summer. On Saturday (3:30 p.m.) he will be back at his old place of work with his new employer. “It will be a special day,” Poulsen said in an interview with the media on Wednesday.
It was the first time that he was not part of the home team in Leipzig, said Poulsen. “I’ve never been in the away dressing room to change.” His family and his mother from Denmark will also be there at the special reunion. “Hopefully it will be a great game with a great atmosphere,” says Poulsen.

The 51-year-old is said to be a candidate for 1. FC Magdeburg, reports “Bild”. The FCM is currently bottom of the table, coach Markus Fiedler had to leave after a 0-6 friendly defeat against Eintracht Braunschweig.
Daniel Thioune is said to be not averse to getting involved in Magdeburg. However, he still has a contract with Fortuna that runs until 2028 – the two clubs would therefore also have to agree on a change.
After being demoted to the U21, Noah Katterbach is allowed to train again with the Hamburger SV professionals. The 24-year-old met with coach Merlin Polzin for a clarifying discussion, and in the afternoon the defender was on the first team pitch. The Bundesliga soccer team reported on
