Due to a rear-end collision on the A28 near De Punt towards Haren, a major traffic jam has arisen this morning on the A28 and the N34. The delay was resolved around 9 a.m.
Traffic was also backed up on the A28 for some time between Beilen and Assen. The right lane was closed due to an accident. The traffic jam was about five kilometers long at its height and the delay was about 25 minutes.
The accident at De Punt happened on the left lane. The road was closed for a while, but the two vehicles involved were later moved to the hard shoulder. As far as we know, no one was injured in the collision.
