Alfa Romeo Tonale restyling: engines, interiors, fittings, prices

Alfa Romeo update the SUV Tonal for 2026, with a restyling that brings the debut of innovations both on an aesthetic level and in the passenger compartment. The most obvious change is found at the front, where the license plate is repositioned in the center of the bumper abandoning the traditional asymmetric configuration with license plate on the left. A choice that on the one hand aligns the Tonale with its younger sister Juniorbut which on the other hand gives greater longevity to the car by making it compliant with the European regulations for the protection of pedestrians which will come into force on July 7, 2026. In addition to the new front grille, the restylized Tonale stands out from the previous model due to a detail that is much less visible in the photo, but which represents a non-trivial technical refinement. The tracks of the car were Indeed widen both at the front and at the rear, and the overhang on the front axle has also been reduced, to improve the stylistic balance of the Tonale and also its dynamic behaviour. The restyling of Alfa Romeo Tonale brings some new features to its debut passenger compartment. First of all, the old lever selector of the automatic gearbox disappears, replaced by a circular ring at the end of the dashboard. Furthermore, the configurator is enriched with the addition of further customization possibilitiesalso including upholstery in red leather or two-tone black-white Alcantara. The technological setup remains unchanged, with 12.3″ central infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, always accompanied by digital instruments from 10.25 inches integrated into the characteristic Alfa Romeo telescope.

The engine range opens with a 1.5 four-cylinder turbo petrol engine 175 HP mild hybridwith seven-speed dual clutch gearbox and front-wheel drive. 1.6 also remains available 130 HP dieselin this case always combined with front-wheel drive, but with a six-speed dual clutch gearbox.
