The province of Utrecht has given permission to capture and stun wolves on the Utrechtse Heuvelrug so that they can be fitted with a transmitter. The Mammal Society wants to follow the pack for “scientific research and education”. The province has included the conditions for this in a so-called tailor-made regulation, which was published this week and runs until April 1, 2027.
