A 46-year-old man from Rosmalen was arrested on Monday evening for a series of car fires in Rosmalen. That evening, three cars caught fire shortly after each other in different places in the village.
Police launched an investigation because they ‘suspect the car fires may have been lit.’ “This ultimately led to the arrest of the suspect in Boxtel that same evening. He is being held for further questioning and investigation,” the police concluded in a statement.
Fire
The first van caught fire in the Brabanthoeven around half past nine, followed by a car in the Sluiskeshoeven that caught fire five minutes later. Then, around half past ten, a van on Huygensstraat was hit.
The first van caught fire at the rear and suffered significant damage. The car was completely burned out at the front five minutes later.
