“I don’t want to have anything to do with the apartment that I can afford to live in.” Mathias Penninck (41) from the West-Vlaamse Izegem kept a rustic TV to a plug-in hybrid car with his grandchildren in a garage box. Zijn flat is onbewoonbaar, maar hijzelf bleef als bij wonder ongedeerd. “I’m sure it’s a shame when it’s overgrown. Onwaarschijnlijk as je now it’s a shame.”
