The search for additional income for the federal budget has led to discussions about adjusting tax-advantaged flexi-jobs. In response to this, Horeca Vlaanderen is sounding the alarm: a member survey shows that almost all catering entrepreneurs fear that flexi-job workers will drop out if their benefits are reduced. As a result, half expect additional work pressure for permanent staff and one in three expects to have to shorten opening hours: “Without flexis, the catering industry cannot cope during peak times.”
