English darts world champion Luke Littler has added another example to his impressive trophy collection. The 18-year-old won the final at the World Grand Prix in Leicester against his compatriot and long-term rival Luke Humphries with 6:1 sets.

On Sunday evening he took revenge on the world number one for the lost Premier League final in May.

The major tournament in the Mattioli Arena was played in the unusual double-in/double-out mode. Each round (leg) had to begin with a throw into the doubles field, only then did the points count. “Making out” with a double field is common in darts.
