Austria’s national soccer team dropped points for the first time on the way to their first World Cup participation since 1998. Coach Ralf Rangnick’s team lost 0-1 (0-0) to Romania in Bucharest after conceding a late goal. The lead over second place, which would mean a detour via the play-offs, is now only two points before the last two qualifying games in Group H.
