Stijn Fransen recently made her comeback twice as Sam Dekker in Goede Tijden, Slechte Tijden, but otherwise we never see her anywhere. How come? “It’s a bit quiet.”
Over the past year, actress Stijn Fransen has briefly returned to GTST twice, in which she had a regular role from 2015 to 2018. She doesn’t know if she can go back again. “Sam is away for a while and I have no idea how the 36th season will relate to new returns. I don’t know,” she says in the weekly. Party.
Conflict
Her character Sam Dekker caused furious reactions from viewers because she committed domestic violence against her mother Linda Dekker, played by Babette van Veen. “People reacted so strongly. And now I am no longer approached so easily on the street, because people think: just go away, we don’t like you anymore.”
She continues: “Fine, then I just played it well. It is also a check for myself. As an actress it was incredibly cool, but I prefer to play a likeable person. So yes, that is a bit of the conflict you are in.”
No jobs
Stijn is now out of work. “It’s a bit quiet. That’s frustrating. I had hoped that things would pick up a bit after GTST, but that didn’t happen. On the other hand, it’s also very nice, because I can now fully focus on the move and on the children. But eventually I can get another nice acting job.”
“There was a rumor going around for a long time that I didn’t want to play anymore, but I put that to rest with my return to GTST and also the role I played last year in the feel-good Christmas musical Cupcakes For Christmas!”, she concludes.
