Short tracker Daan Kos finished fourth in the B final of the 1500 meters at the first World Tour in Montreal. That made him the best Dutchman. Jens van ‘t Wout had withdrawn due to fever just before the semi-finals. Itzhak de Laat was eliminated in the semi-finals.

The gold went to Rim Jong-un from South Korea ahead of his compatriot Hwang Dae-heon and the Chinese Long Sun.

Xandra Velzeboer starts the World Tour just missing the medals in the 1000 meters

Xandra Velzeboer missed out on the medals in the 1000 meters in the World Tour in Montreal, Canada. The 24-year-old short track star finished fifth in the final, which was won by Canada’s Courtney Sarault ahead of South Korea’s Kim Gilli and American Corinne Stoddard.

Michelle Velzeboer finished second in the B final on the 1000 meters, finishing seventh overall.

Melle and Jens van ‘t Wout

Melle van ‘t Wout finished fifth in the B final on the 500 meters. Jens van ‘t Wout had unsubscribed from this distance earlier in the day. The short tracker is struggling with a mild cold and is concentrating on the 1500 meters and the men’s relay.

The 500 meters was won by Canadian William Dandjinou ahead of Italian Pietro Sighel and Steven Dubois from Canada.
